I found that it was very well written because you instantly pictured the world that the authur created.
Merece la pena darle una oportunidad. It is always strange to admit it, but I felt affected by the death of this magician that just a bunch of pages canavab seemed so forbodding and evil.
There were no loose ends when it comes to the culture, magic system and history of this world where the magicians, thieves and ordinary people reside. Other books in the series.
Magicians c’mon, no real fantasy novel calls these guys magicians, they’re mages! One doesn’t get over the trauma of the past and the responsibility of protecting a novice that easily, surely? Regardless, I enjoyed reading the books cabavan read them very quickly: All three books entered Australian top ,ord SF bestseller lists. My favorite was Tayend and Dannyl. But, to be honest, my biggest motivation was the gay couple that I shipped without end.

The first half of the novel feels like a cat and mouse tale that goes on far too lo I first read this as a teenager and I remembered loving it.
I cannot wait to read more books by Trudi Canavan, because I’m sure that I’ll meet sympathetic characters and interesting settings that will enthrall me beyond the scope of the plot, and that will probably make trufi sad to abandon again. I was surprised to know I completely agreed with those reviews that it moved at a snail’s pace.
Can I get a copy? That is the end of Sonea’s life as she knows it, for she just discovered she has magical powers. A story has to progress. This book is one of my all-time favorites, and that’s in spite of view spoiler [the devastating ending which I wish Canavan would re-write!
It’s obvious that Lord Rothen will be Sonea’s guardian once she starts attending classes in the Guild. I doubt I’ll pick up the trilogy that follows the events of this one, as I’m not really interested in what happens next.
