For the electric guitarist, there is a guide to guitar electronics which includes pictures and lists of all the tools you will need, instructions on reading wiring diagrams, actual charts and photos of how an electric guitar is wired, pick-up circuits, etc.

And later denyr get a breadboard, assorted electronic components, and a copy of Electronic Projects for Musicians for some real geeked out fun. The Guitar Handbook is really too modest of a title for how much information this book contains.

I can’t say that this is the ONLY guitar book you’ll ever need. The Handbook contains history and theory and a great collection of chords and For example, I was flipping through the chords sections looking for a refresher on my favorite 9th chord fingerings, and the entire opposite page is taken up a cenyer titled Altered Ninth Chords that has 12 illustrated gems such ddenyer the “Seventh augmented ninth augmented fifth chord fingering.

The book is timeless and covers scales, triads and chords systematically by building the right theoretical underpinnings allowing one to play melody and rhythm while having a solid understanding of how to compose for the guitar.
