Not the best work-around, but the only one I can think of. Data source is cube and report type is crosstab.
Reports built on FM models work very gracefully with this. CurrentMember argument can be omitted as it will be used by default.
I was wondering if there is any way to implement running count on a dimension where the level has been suppressed in the cube. That would needlessly bloat the size of the cube, and may impact performance. As such, some analysis of the query and Global Variables must be done before you can create the calculated member. Knowing this, how do you do a running-total in reverse? Next create the data item you will add to the crosstab: Looks like it is working now.
However RAVE 1 is still going strong.

The expression in the series is processed for each item in the ordinal axis. As far as I am aware they are using Cognos Difficult problem, but not insurmountable.
Any help would be much appreciated. I want to present row number in a list report based on cube.
Running-total on a cube – CognosPaul
Post as a guest Name. DefaultMember to get either [Time]. As you can move to a different dimension hierarchy levels you can also move to a different dimension members in the same dimension. Hi Paul, I have the same issue, I am taking categories from previous year as current year all categories are not added in the cube. Funcgions 29, by CognosPaul 11 Comments. Hi Paul, I am able to validate my report now after making the required change as per your suggession.
Put the calculated member in the specified group in the Calculated members section of the dimension in the funxtions builder.
For example, the following expression will return set of last 7 days from [Time]. An example query might be: If user selects any months, then the data item is set [Month1],[Month2],[Monthn]. It is not coming in the crosstab.
As a benchmark test, the client took the changes I made and applied them to the Compatible Query Mode. When nested in crosstabs they also worked. You might want the running aggregate on one cogjos but not another.
