Antonio de Medeiros rated it it was ok Jan 17, And I feel bad about it, thinking about the circumstances surrounding it. They are characterised by a poetic intensity, pared-down language, exploration of theatrical form, and, in her earlier work, the use of stylized violent stage action. Her writing is honest to the point of disturbing, and the only way aneia can describe it is like witnessing the last moments of someone’s life, where they watch their entire existence flow before them, and sharing in that moment.
This play is hard to picture and to understand, though in some ways that makes complete sense. Elif rated it it was ok Feb 06, Your truth, your lies, not mine. Thanks for telling us about the problem. Seriously, I’ve never seen an audience boo before. Want to Read saving…. One could certainly argue however that was the point of the piece given how it can be looked at as Kane’s real-life suicide ansai.
Genre-bending, twisted, beautiful, and complex, this is a play for everyone.
